Tutors

Mrs. Stefanie Gazich, ARCHES Administrator
Stefanie Gazich is the mother of six children and the grandmother of eight. She and her family are members of Epiphany Catholic Church in Coon Rapids, MN. She has been home educating for twenty-two years. She is a graduate of Ohio University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism. She did field reporting for an ABC affiliate in Charlotte, N.C. and was offered a writing position for CNN in Atlanta, Georgia. Stefanie believes strong grammar skills polish and enhance one's ability to communicate effectively and professionally. Stefanie has been a tutor with ARCHES for 17 years and loves teaching by engaging students in memorization, recitation, spelling, diagramming, and formation of strong sentence structure. In Pre-Algebra, students participate by working problems on white boards at their desk thus engaging them in the learning process. Struggles her own children had in learning math, sparked creative ways to learn and understand harder math concepts. Stefanie currently works part-time at St. Pius X in White Bear Lake as an Administrative Assistant and Elementary Coordinator for Faith Formation. She cherishes the truths of the Catholic church and is passionate in helping children discover its treasures.
Courses: Grammar I, Grammar II, Math 8/7, Pre-Algebra, and Keyboarding.

Mr. Doug Latawiec
Doug Latawiec graduated Xi Sigma Pi from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Products Marketing. Doug has many years of volunteer teaching experience including eight years at the Minneapolis Catholic Youth Center and over fourteen years as a religious education teacher. He is a home-schooling father of fourteen children and is currently planning his twenty-second-year tutoring Literature I and II for ARCHES. He is the athletic director and basketball coach of Victory Christian Home School Association serving home school boys and girls from junior high to varsity teams.

​Mrs. Debra Sivula
Debra Sivula is happily married to her husband, Joel, a mother of six children, grandmother of twenty-three and a mother-in-law to four. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Viterbo University in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Her first career from 1979 to 1985 was being an oncology nurse at St. Mary's Hospital in Minneapolis and the University Hospital at the University of Minnesota. She retired in 1985 to stay home and educate her children. She is a member of the Church of Saint Paul in Ham Lake. She loves science and would like to pass her knowledge on to others.
Course: Life Science

​Mrs. Basia Zebro
Basia Zebro is the mother of seven children and the grandmother of seven.  She and her family are members of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Oak Grove, MN.  She has home educated her children over a span of the last 20 years.  She graduated from Russell Sage College in Albany, New York, with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and has been a tutor for ARCHES for the last 6 years.  Not only has she been an educator of the social sciences, but she also taught Ballroom Dance for over 10 years at the Church of St. Paul in Ham Lake through the Home Education Ministry.  
Courses: Earth Science, World Geography, American Government, Algebra I, 
Algebra II

Mr. Steve Stolz
Steve Stolz is married and the father of five children and grandfather of two. He has volunteered heavily with youth at his church since 2009. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin (Madison), where he received his Bachelor of Science in Joint Astronomy Physics and Masters of Science in Computer Science. After working for Hewlett-Packard for 12 years and a startup company, he and two friends started their own software business after 9/11. That business grew to over 30 employees and was split into two businesses, both of which were eventually sold. He is now happily retired. In addition to teaching, he especially likes playing board games with his wife, competing in triathlons both locally and nationwide, and teaching youth how to barefoot waterski.

Mrs. Theresa Brostrom
Theresa Brostrom is married and the mother of nine children. She and her family have dual membership at the Church of St. Paul and Epiphany Catholic Church. Theresa has been home educating for over 20 years.  She is a graduate of Mankato State University, where she received her Bachelor and Masters of Science in Education. She taught for 9 years in the Osseo area schools.  She has also taught a variety of homeschool classes in the Church of St. Paul HEM group as well as family formation classes and small groups at youth group. Theresa is now employed with Anoka County 4-H as an Environmental/Ag Program Assistant.  Theresa is very active as a volunteer in Anoka County's 4-H, especially the shooting sports/wildlife program, co-leading the WHEP (Wildlife Habitat Education Program) program with her husband.

Mrs. Amanda Sanoski
Originally from central Minnesota, Amanda Sanoski now lives in White Bear Lake with her husband and two children. She is a member of the Church of St. Pius X and worked from 2007-2017 at the Church of Saint Paul in Ham Lake. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Studies Education and a Master of Arts degree in History from St. Cloud State University. Amanda loves all things related to history and is very excited for the upcoming course.
Course: British History

Mrs. Laura Klimisch
Laura Klimisch graduated at the University of Texas in Arlington in 1989 as a Registered Nurse working in intensive care, medical-surgical, and coronary care units.
In 1997, 
Laura left her job to stay home to raise her family and homeschool. Laura and her husband Kevin have been married for thirty-one years and have nine children and two grandchildren. Educating their children for over twenty-six years, their family has incorporated ARCHES classes in the upper grades for all of their children. Instilling a love and passion of great classical literature throughout the years gives Laura the desire and creativity to reveal to the students the hidden treasures within the twelve books in British Letters. Members at the Church of St. Paul in Ham Lake, Laura has taught Family Formation classes, HEM, youth, and confirmation classes for many years!  Her Catholic faith and family are her greatest treasures! Laura enjoys the outdoors, boating, and hosting family gatherings! Recently, she has started a part-time business doing foot care for elderly patients in their homes.

Mrs. Cindy Goldade
Cindy Goldade is a homeschool mom of three. Her oldest is teaching Agriculture in Royalton, MN. Her middle kiddo lives on a horse farm in Stacy, as a farrier and horse trainer—Rolling G Equine. The youngest is attending PSEO at M-State pursuing an Associates in Business. Cindy and her husband own Direct Bore, Inc, an underground construction company. Cindy has a bachelor’s in education with her master’s degree in Montessori education. She currently teaches at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. She is also an international Brain Gym® faculty and is passionate about helping individuals more deeply understand their unique learning styles as well as teaching them strategies to reach their goals. She presents on the brain, learning styles, and movement-based learning throughout Minnesota, as well as internationally. Her family is active at the Church of St. Paul in Ham Lake as well as very involved in 4-H at the county and state level. Cindy is excited to share her educational experiences as an employee, employer, adjunct faculty, independent contractor, lifelong learner, etc. Her courses are interactive and collaborative opportunities for self-growth.

Mrs. Meghan Jones
Meghan Jones is a homeschool mother of six. She has a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of Dallas with an emphasis in Printmaking. Although she has spent the last 30 years raising and teaching her children at home, art has played a major role in her daily life. Meghan combines her creative side with her faith by dabbling in stained glass, mosaics and iconography. She loves art history! Over the years she ventured into the world of graphic design and now works regularly with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and In Design. Teaching Drawing gives her a chance to create by turning off the computer and picking up some good old-fashioned pencils and paper!

Mrs. Elizabeth Bishop
Elizabeth Bishop is a wife, mom of three and grandmother to five.
She has a background in Montessori Education and the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. She maintained a position as head directress in more than one Montessori environment before moving on to raise her family. She has since pursued sewing, another passion of hers, and building a solid sewing career.
She spent 7 ½ years working in a drapery workroom designing and sewing for interior designers. She completed 6 ½ years working at KWIK SEW Pattern company as a technical writer, writing step by step instructions for over 100 garment and craft patterns per year of which she has nine self-published embroidery/ sewing
patterns and a self-published embroidery/quilting book.
She currently works as head of design in a bridal alteration shop.
