Discipline
We require our young adults to exhibit appropriate, respectful behavior among their peers and tutors during all ARCHES classes and activities.
Our discipline philosophy revolves around the principle of preventing one disruptive student from limiting the education of all the others in a class by wasting the tutor's limited classroom time on discipline problems.
We will involve parents in all discipline problems as described below:
Our discipline philosophy revolves around the principle of preventing one disruptive student from limiting the education of all the others in a class by wasting the tutor's limited classroom time on discipline problems.
We will involve parents in all discipline problems as described below:
- If the ARCHES administrator receives a first notification in writing regarding a discipline problem, we will contact the parents and student to resolve the conflict.
- If the ARCHES administrator receives a second notification in writing regarding a discipline problem with the same student, the parent will be required to sit in the class with their student for the rest of the semester. If the parent is unwilling or unable to do so, the student will be dropped from the class(es) immediately with no refund of tuition.
- If the ARCHES administrator receives a third notification in writing regarding a discipline problem with the same student, the student will be suspended from all classes for a time or expelled with no tuition refund.
